Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
Rho Theta Chapter of Susquehanna University

"Set Apart, Destined for Greatness"

The Rho Theta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc, was chartered on February 18, 2007 at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania by five young women on a mission,
Courtney Allen, Elizabeth Whiting, LaDana Jeter, Taiisha Swinton, Christal Verley.

The chartering of the Rho Theta Chapter made Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc the first historically black Greek lettered organization belonging to the National Pan-Hellenic Council to arrive at Susquehanna University.

Like our founding chapter, Rho Theta was chartered on a predominately white campus at a time when the five chartering members felt as though there was time for an organization of a different caliber. An organization that brings together young women who are seeking “Greater Service, Greater Progress” not only in their lives, but the lives of those they come into contact.

We take pride in our unique founding and sisterhood.
