Why I Like Anthropology:
I've always been curious about different cultures and eager to experience life in other places around the world. Anthropology has allowed me to pursue these interests while alerting me to the power differentials within and between cultures.

Research:
My research examines how global, national, and political-economic
discourses structure the meanings of religion in the modern world. I
am particularly interested and conservative religious movements in the
Americas, and have explored these topics in most depth in the ultra-orthodox
Jewish community of Buenos Aires.
