BARTOSIC RANKED AMONG NCAA FOOTBALL STAT LEADERS
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University sophomore split end Mark Bartosic is ranked among the NCAA Division III football statistical leaders in a pair of categories, through games of November 3. Bartosic (Northumberland, PA/Shikellamy H.S.) is tied for 24th with an average of 7.0 receptions per game (63 total) and is eighth with an average of 119.3 receiving yards per game (1,074 total) in nine games. Bartosic has set Susquehanna single-season records for receptions and yards this season, in addition to the record 15 touchdown catches he made last season. He has broken the Crusader career marks for receiving yards (2,102) and touchdowns (27) and needs seven receptions to match the record of 121 set from 1984-87 by Al Bucci. The Crusaders (3-6 overall, 3-5 Middle Atlantic Conference) close the 2001 season at Lopardo Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m. against Lebanon Valley.
