HEEPS, LEVINE NAMED COMMONWEALTH MEN’S SOCCER ALL-STARS

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – For the second straight season, Susquehanna has placed two players on the Commonwealth Conference men’s soccer All-Star team, as seniors Beau Heeps and Brad Levine have been voted to the second team by the league’s eight head coaches.

The duo helped the Crusaders to a 7-10 overall record (2-5 Commonwealth) under fourth-year head coach Jim Findlay.

Heeps (Allentown, PA/Parkland H.S.), a forward, led the Crusaders with 12 goals and 28 points during the 2001 season and concluded his career as the all-time leading scorer in Susquehanna history with 63 points (25 goals, 13 assists) in 65 matches.

Heeps finished the 2001 season ranked third in the Commonwealth Conference in both goals and points. Four of his 12 goals came in the Crusaders’ seven conference games and he scored at least one goal in seven of Susquehanna’s final nine matches.

Levine (Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah H.S.), selected as a defender, led a Crusader defense that posted a 2.33 goals against average and posted three shutouts during the 2001 season. He finished the season with one goal and one assist in 17 matches and ended his career with five goals and seven assists for 17 points in 50 matches.
