RONCHI NAMED TO MAC FOOTBALL HONOR ROLL

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University junior Tim Ronchi has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Weekly Football Honor Roll for the games of October 13, the MAC announced Sunday.

After injuries to the Crusaders' top two quarterbacks, Ronchi (Factoryville, PA/Lackawanna Trail H.S.) stepped in as the signalcaller for the first time since high school and completed 5-of-8 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns in the Crusaders' 21-3 win at FDU-Madison.

Ronchi, who found out on Thursday that he was the team's emergency quarterback for the game, shifted from split end in the second quarter. His first completion was a 35-yard touchdown pass to Mark Bartosic late in the second quarter to give Susquehanna a 14-3 lead, while his second scoring strike covered 73 yards to Bartosic midway through the third.

Ronchi also ran the ball four times for eight yards and caught one pass for 16 yards prior to moving to quarterback.

The Crusaders (2-4 overall, 2-3 MAC) will travel to Juniata next Saturday for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
