Bowman Named Academic All-District

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University senior quarterback Mike Bowman has been named to the Verizon Academic All-America College Division District II Football Team, as selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Bowman, who was chosen to the team for the third straight year, qualifies for the national ballot along with five other Middle Atlantic Conference players. The national Academic All-America team will be announced on December 2.

Bowman (Northumberland, PA/Shikellamy H.S.) is a mathematics major with a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average. The Susquehanna single-season and career leader in attempts, completions, yards, touchdowns and total offense, Bowman is a Dean’s List student and has earned several scholarships.

In addition, Bowman works as a math tutor on campus and has done work with both the Northumberland assessor’s office and the finance department of SUN Home Health Services.

This season, Bowman has completed 152 of 275 passes for 2,032 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Crusaders (4-5 overall, 4-4 MAC).

Players on the College Division District II team represent NCAA Division II and III schools from Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
