SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna University sophomore middle blocker Kerri Eshleman has been named first-team All-Commonwealth Conference in women’s volleyball for the second consecutive year in voting by the league’s eight head coaches, the conference announced Thursday.

Eshleman (Landisville, PA/Hempfield H.S.) led the Commonwealth Conference in blocks per game (1.36) and finished second in both kills per game (4.07) and hitting percentage (.354) as the Crusaders finished 18-13 overall and in sixth place in the Commonwealth Conference with a 3-4 league mark under first-year head coach Ann Clements.

She recorded 20 or more kills in a match five times this season, including a career-best 27 kills in a 3-1 win over Salisbury on November 2. Eshleman also hit .500 or better (minimum 12 attacks) on four occasions, including a .639 percentage on the strength of 24 kills and just one error in 36 attacks at Elizabethtown on November 1.

This season, Eshleman established single-season program records for kills (427), kills per game, attack attempts (990) and solo blocks (134). After just two seasons, Eshleman ranks fourth in total kills (811), second in hitting percentage (.330) and first in blocks (310) in program history.
