Bartosic Named to MAC Football Honor Roll
SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna University senior split end Mark Bartosic has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Weekly Honor Roll following his historic performance in the Crusaders’ 55-31 loss to Albright on Saturday at Lopardo Stadium. Bartosic (Northumberland, PA/Shikellamy H.S.) caught nine passes for 132 yards and three touchdowns to become the first player in NCAA football history with four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. He also increased his career reception total to 260 to surpass the previous MAC record of 258 set by Bill Stromberg of Johns Hopkins from 1978 to 1981. Bartosic now has 63 catches for 1068 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season to lead the MAC in all three categories. For his career, he has 260 catches for 4,488 yards and 53 touchdowns to rank fourth on the NCAA all-divisions touchdown list and seventh on the NCAA all-divisions yards. The Crusaders (3-5 overall, 3-4 MAC) travel to Lebanon Valley (1-7 overall, 1-6 MAC) on Saturday at 1 p.m.
