SELINSGROVE , PA – Susquehanna University senior forward Justin Makar was named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week in men's soccer while senior goalkeeper Austin Kelsey was honored as Defender/Goalie of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Makar (Weirton, WV/Sewickley Academy) scored twice in the first 20 minutes as the Crusaders defeated Widener 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. His goals came in the 11th and 20th minutes and helped extend his team lead in goals to four.

Kelsey (Benton, PA/Benton) was named Defender/Goalie of the Week for the second time this season after he posted victories in each of Susquehanna's two matches last week. He made two stops in a 1-0 victory at Juniata on Tuesday and 14 saves in the 2-1 victory at Widener on Saturday.

The Crusaders (5-3-1 overall, 2-1-0 Commonwealth) travel to third-ranked York College on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
