Lee Rogers Named Commonwealth Conference Baseball Player of the Week

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - A pair of victories over two of the top teams in the Commonwealth Conference has netted Susquehanna senior righthander Lee Rogers the conference's Baseball Player of the Week award for the week ending March 25.

Rogers (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry H.S.) tossed a five-hit complete game in a 5-1 victory over Elizabethtown last Monday and followed by striking out five in 5 2/3 innings of work in an 8-6 win at Widener on Saturday.

In the two wins, Rogers compiled a 3.55 earned run average and struck out eight batters in 12 2/3 innings of work. For the season, Rogers is 2-0 with a 3.66 earned run average in four games (three starts) and 19 2/3 innings, while striking out a team-high 13 batters

The Crusaders (6-7 overall, 2-2 Commonwealth Conference) travel to King's on Friday for a 3 p.m. non-conference game.
