Women's Lacrosse Earns First National Ranking
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – For the first time in the program’s 13-year history, the Susquehanna University women’s lacrosse team is ranked in this week’s Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Poll. The Crusaders (12-4) are ranked 20th in the final IWLCA poll after defeating 18th-ranked Drew 11-10 in overtime to win their first Middle Atlantic Conference championship and advance to the NCAA Division III playoffs for the first time in program history. Susquehanna will face second-ranked College of New Jersey (14-0) in second-round action on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Gettysburg College. The fifth-ranked host Bullets (14-3) will play seventh-ranked Cortland State (13-2) at 2 p.m. on Saturday with the winners meeting Sunday for the right to play in the national semifinals next weekend at Rowan.
