Men's Lacrosse Picked Ninth in MAC Poll
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University men’s lacrosse team has been picked to finish ninth in the Middle Atlantic Conference preseason coaches’ poll, the conference office announced Tuesday. Third-year head coach Ron Miller welcomes back 15 letterwinners and seven starters from last year’s team which finished ninth in the 10-team league with a 5-9 overall record and a 1-8 mark in MAC games. Susquehanna returns its top five scorers from last season, including senior midfielder Andy Nadler (Westport, CT/Staples H.S.), the program’s all-time leader in goals (64), assists (32) and points (96) who was named second-team All-MAC last season. Defending MAC champion Widener received seven first-place votes to earn the top spot in the poll, followed by Messiah, Lycoming, FDU-Florham and Elizabethtown. Susquehanna will open the 2003 season on Saturday at 1 p.m. at eighth-ranked Hampden-Sydney.
