Men's Tennis to Compete at MAC Championships

SELINSGROVE, PA – The Susquehanna University men’s tennis squad will send a pair of doubles teams to the 2003 Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championships beginning Friday at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre.

The teams of freshman Matt Redgate and junior Karl Rosen (Rocky Hill, NJ/Montgomery H.S.) along with senior Brian Ardire and junior Chris Cassel will be in action at the championships, which begin Friday at 9 a.m. and continue through the quarterfinals. Semifinal action will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. with finals slated for Saturday at 2 p.m.

Redgate (Chatham, NJ/Chatham H.S.) and Rosen (Rocky Hill, NJ/Montgomery H.S.) compiled a 6-3 record at number-one doubles for the Crusaders while Ardire (Hummelstown, PA/Hershey H.S.) and Cassel (Mt. Gretna, PA/Palmyra H.S.) teamed up to go 3-2 at number-two doubles.

Susquehanna recently concluded its regular season with a 4-6 overall mark and 3-4 in the Commonwealth Conference under first-year head coach Rob Logan.
