Women's Basketball Ranked 17th in "Academic Top 25"
SELINSGROVE , PA – The Susquehanna University women's basketball team was recently recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association as a member of its Top 25 Team Honor Roll for Division III, based on team grade-point average for the 2005-06 season.
The Crusaders were the only Commonwealth Conference team ranked in the top 25, and placed 17th overall with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.408 for first-year head coach Jim Reed.
Of the 12 players on the squad, eight were named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll for the 2005-06 season for maintaining cumulative grade-point averages above 3.20.
Colorado College topped the rankings with a team grade-point average of 3.577, one of seven schools to surpass 3.50 during the 2005-06 season.
