Corey Green Tabbed as Commonwealth Conference Second-Team All-Star in Men's Hoops

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Susquehanna University junior forward Corey Green has been named a Commonwealth Conference second-team All-Star in men's basketball by the league's eight head coaches, it was announced Tuesday.

Green (Roselle, N.J./Roselle Catholic H.S.) was the leading scorer and rebounder for the Crusaders, who finished the season with a 10-14 overall record (3-11 Commonwealth Conference). It is the 13th straight year that Susquehanna has earned at least one All-Star and the fifth straight year that the Crusaders have been represented on the second team.

The 6-4 Green averaged 16.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, ranking him fourth in the conference in scoring and sixth in rebounding. Green connected on 34.8 percent of his three-point attempts (39-of-112) and ranked eighth in the conference with 1.62 three-point field goals made per game. He also had 44 assists, 27 steals and seven blocks in 24 games this season.

Green, who scored in double figures 20 times this season, scored a career-high 28 points in a 74-72 win over then 13th-ranked Connecticut College on January 7 en route to earning All-Tournament honors at the University of Scranton Invitational.

Green has averaged 11.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in 67 career games, having scored 784 points and grabbed 404 rebounds in three seasons with the Crusaders.

A liberal arts major, he is the son of Theresa Green of Roselle, N.J.
