SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University junior guard Nick Griffiths has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference men’s basketball Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending February 22, the conference office announced Monday.

Griffiths (Shamokin, PA/Shamokin Area H.S.) scored a team-high 22 points, including 5-of-7 three-pointers, as Susquehanna clinched its first Commonwealth regular-season title since 1995-96 with an 89-85 win over Widener on Saturday. He shot 8-of-11 from the field and added four assists and three rebounds in just 27 minutes of action as the Crusaders won for the sixth straight time and 12th in the last 13 games.

For the week, Griffiths averaged 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in two games and shot 58.8 percent from the field and 6-of-9 from behind the arc.

For the season, Griffiths leads the team in scoring with an average of 13.3 points per game and has connected on 66 three-pointers, the third-highest single-season total in program history.

The Crusaders (17-7 overall, 11-3 Commonwealth) host Lebanon Valley in the Commonwealth Conference semifinals on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Houts Gymnasium.
