Fowler named to MAC Men's Basketball Honor Roll

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University sophomore center Walter Fowler has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference men’s basketball Honor Roll for the week ending December 21, the conference announced Monday.

Fowler (Dingmans Ferry, PA/Delaware Valley H.S.) came off the bench to score a career-high 22 points as the Crusaders defeated Marywood 96-81 on Friday night. He shot 9-of-14 from the field and added six rebounds and two steals to surpass his previous best of 20 points set against Rochester on November 30.

Fowler leads all Crusader bench players with averages of 7.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game as well as a field goal percentage of 55.3 percent (26-for-47). Overall, he leads the Commonwealth Conference in blocked shots with 18 (2.25 per game).

Susquehanna (6-2 overall, 2-0 Commonwealth Conference) returns to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 3 against Gettysburg in the opening game of the Radisson Invitational at The University of Scranton.
