Crusaders Among NCAA Men's Basketball Stat Leaders

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University men’s basketball team is represented among both the NCAA Division III team and individual statistical leaders, according to the latest report through games of February 1.

Senior center Phil Sander (Hancock, NY/Walton Central H.S.) is fourth in the nation in field-goal percentage for the second straight week at 68.2 percent and 37th in blocked shots at 1.9 per game, while senior guard Chris Zimmerman (Coal Township, PA/Shamokin Area H.S.) is 46th in assists with an average of 5.0 per contest.

As a team, the Crusaders are tied for 10th in three-point field-goal percentage at 41.2 percent (107-for-260) and 22nd in field-goal percentage at 49.0 percent (503-for-1026)

Sander entered the week shooting 90-of-132 from the field, and trails James Lewis of Rust (79.6 percent), Jon Konzelman of Baptist Bible (70.3 percent) and Danny Nawrocki of Johns Hopkins (68.7 percent) in the rankings.

The Crusaders (13-6 overall, 5-4 Commonwealth Conference) travel to Lebanon Valley (12-8 overall, 6-3 Commonwealth) on Saturday for a 2 p.m. tipoff.
