Crusaders Ranked Among NCAA Men's Basketball Leaders
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University men’s basketball team is represented among both the NCAA Division III team and individual statistical leaders, according to the latest report through games of February 8. Senior center Phil Sander (Hancock, NY/Walton Central H.S.) has climbed to second in the nation in field-goal percentage at 68.5 percent and is 41st in blocked shots at 1.8 per game, As a team, the Crusaders are 35th in field-goal percentage at 48.3 percent (547-for-1132) and 48th in three-point field-goal percentage at 38.5 percent (115-for-299). Sander entered the week shooting 102-of-149 from the field, and trails only Jon Konzelman of Baptist Bible (70.3 percent) in the rankings. The Crusaders (14-7 overall, 6-5 Commonwealth Conference) host Widener (13-7 overall, 7-4 Commonwealth) on Saturday for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
