Susquehanna Basketball to Host Pepsi Night

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Tuesday is Pepsi Night at Susquehanna University as the Crusader men's and women's basketball teams will host Juniata College in a Commonwealth Conference doubleheader at O.W. Houts Gymnasium.

All fans in attendance at the twinbill will be treated to free hot dogs and Pepsi, courtesy of the Pepsi-Cola Company in Selinsgrove, Weis Markets and Kunzler's Hot Dogs. The women's game begins at 6 p.m. while the men's game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. tipoff.

In addition to the hot dogs and beverages, the final Pepsi Halftime Shootouts of the 2005-2006 season will be held at intermission of each game, featuring all the previous Pepsi Shootout winners from men's and women's home games throughout the season.

Contestants will be vying for one of three North American vacation packages, compliments of Pepsi, by attempting to sink long-distance shots. The grand-prize package will be awarded to the first contestant who makes a midcourt shot.

In the women's game, the Crusaders (12-11 overall, 4-8 Commonwealth) will look to snap a four-game losing streak and attempt to keep their Commonwealth Conference playoff hopes alive against the Eagles (12-11 overall, 5-7 Commonwealth), who have won three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, the Crusader men (9-14 overall, 5-7 Commonwealth) and the Eagles (10-13 overall, 5-7 Commonwealth) each enter Tuesday's action one game behind Elizabethtown for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Commonwealth Conference. Susquehanna can clinch a playoff berth with wins over both Juniata and Lebanon Valley this week combined with an Elizabethtown loss to either Messiah or Moravian.
