SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Seven former Susquehanna University student-athletes will be inducted into the university's Sports Hall of Fame in ceremonies in the Degenstein Campus Center on Saturday, Feb. 10.

The Class of 2007 will increase the total membership of the Sports Hall of Fame to 174 members since its foun ding in 1967.

This year's inductees are Dan Barker '89 (baseball), Jim Filipovits '93 (football), Jennifer Fry '94 (track and field), Cheryl Irvine '96 Ruckman (field hockey/lacrosse), Ron Miller '93 (football), Rob Rohrbach '92 (golf) and Lloyd “Tres” Wolf ‘94 (basketball).

Dan Barker '89 is a native of Dover, Pa. and a graduate of Dover High School. He was a two-time Middle Atlantic Conference Northwest All-Star as a catcher and was named team Most Valuable Player as a senior. As a junior, he set a school single-season record with a.500 batting average along with nine home runs and 37 runs batted in.

Barker finished with a career batting average of.354 with 14 home runs and 80 runs batted in, and attended tryouts for the Detroit Tigers, New York Mets and San Francisco Giants following his senior season.

He is a corporate account manager for Verizon Wireless and resides in Gainesville, Va.

Jim Filipovits '93 is a native of Northampton, Pa. and a graduate of Northampton High School. He was a three-year starter at quarterback, and led the Crusaders to the NCAA Division III semifinals as a junior. Following his senior season, he was named first-team All-MAC after completing 98 passes for 1,548 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Filipovits still ranks among the top 10 in program history in career passing yards (2,569) and touchdowns (24).

He earned a master's degree in information systems from the Stevens Institute of Technology in 1999, and is employed as a project manger by GMA in Allentown. He and his wife, Kim, reside in Schnecksville and are the parents of sons Will (4) and Drew (2).

Jennifer Fry '94 is a native of Reinholds, Pa. and a graduate of Cocalico High School. She set a school record in the discus with a mark of 132 feet, 8 inches in 1993 and was the MAC champion in the event as a senior with a throw of 119 feet, 3 inches. She also placed fourth in the discus as a junior and second as a sophomore, and was named the team's Top Fieldwoman as both a sophomore and a senior.

Fry received a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998, and is the owner of Banfield, the Pet Hospital of Pottstown. She resides in Reading.

Cheryl Irvine '96 Ruckman is a native of King of Prussia, Pa. and a graduate of Upper Merion High School. She was a four-year starter in both field hockey and lacrosse, and was a two-time All-MAC selection in field hockey and a three-time All-Star in lacrosse.

In field hockey, she ranks among the program's career leaders with 31 career goals, while in lacrosse she finished with 94 goals and 103 points for her career.

Ruckman and her husband, Scott, reside in Collegeville with their son, David (1).

Ron Miller '93 is a native of Marion Heights, Pa. and a graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School. He was a first-team All-MAC selection on the offensive line as both a junior and senior as the Crusaders led the conference in both total offense and rushing offense both years, and was an honorable mention All-American as a senior.

Following graduation, he served as Susquehanna's offensive coordinator for eight seasons and as head men's lacrosse coach for four seasons.

He earned a master's degree in education from Bucknell and is head football coach at West York High School. Miller resides in Selinsgrove with his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, Aspen (3).

Rob Rohrbach '92 is a native of Ephrata, Pa. and a graduate of Ephrata High School. He was the first Crusader to compete at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf championships, when he finished tied for 82nd in a field of 120 players in 1992. That year, he was the MAC individual champion and led the team in stroke average at 76.5. As a sophomore, he also led the team in stroke average at 79.2.

Rohrbach completed a Professional Golfers' Association business school program in 1998 and is a PGA teaching professional. He and his wife, Patricia, reside in Ephrata.

Lloyd “Tres” Wolf '94 is a native of Wyomissing, Pa. and a graduate of Holy Name High School. He was a four-year starter at point guard for the Crusaders and a third-team All-American as a senior after leading the team in scoring at 17.5 points per game and ranking eighth in Division III with 7.3 assists per game. He graduated as the program's career leader with 543 assists and 229 steals, and also scored 1,192 points.

Wolf earned a doctorate of medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998 and is a physician at St. Lawrence Medical Associates near Reading. He and his wife, Kimberly, reside in Birdsboro and are the parents of daughters Sidney (3) and Abigail (2).
