Clark Named Second-Team All-Conference
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University senior forward Jen Clark was named second-team All-Commonwealth Conference in women's basketball for the second consecutive season, as voted upon by the league's eight head coaches and released Wednesday.
Clark (Elysburg, PA/Southern Columbia) led the Crusaders in scoring (11.5 points per game), rebounds (4.6 per game) and blocked shots (21) as Susquehanna finished the regular season with a 15-10 record and in fourth place in the Commonwealth Conference with a 6-8 league mark.
She finished the regular season ranked eighth in the conference in scoring average, eighth in field-goal percentage (94-for-219, 42.9 percent) and fourth in three-point field goal percentage (25-for-65, 38.5 percent).
Entering Wednesday's Commonwealth Conference semifinal game at Messiah, Clark has career averages of 9.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in 96 games, scoring 934 points and pulling 476 rebounds while shooting 72.0 percent (286-for-397) from the foul line.
Messiah junior guard Nikki Lobach was named conference Player of the Year, and was joined on the first team by Messiah senior forward Sarah Ringer, Lebanon Valley senior forward Monica Johnson, Elizabethtown junior guard Erin Walton, Moravian senior center Kelly Applegate, and Albright junior forward Jackie Hardwick.
Joining Clark on the second team were Moravian senior forward Jenny Hackleman, Albright sophomore guard Annie McMahon, Juniata junior forward Jess Winemiller, and Widener sophomore guard Beth Dessart Mager.
Widener guard Rayne Reber was voted as the conference Rookie of the Year while Messiah head coach Mike Miller was selected as Coach of the Year.
