Drayton Earns Spot on MAC Football Weekly Honor Roll

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Susquehanna University senior fullback Rashonn Drayton has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Football Honor Roll for the week of September 30, the conference announced Sunday.

Drayton (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic H.S.) ran for a season-high 136 yards on a career-high 39 carries and scored three touchdowns as the Crusaders improved to 4-0 with a 35-21 win over previously undefeated Wilkes at Lopardo Stadium on Saturday.

Drayton's three rushing touchdowns, also a career high, covered 8, 12 and 2 yards and helped the Crusaders overcome a halftime deficit for the second straight home game.

He leads the team in rushing with 247 yards in three games played (82.3 yards per game), and ranks fifth in the MAC in rushing and third in scoring with 30 points in three games (10.0 points per game).

Susquehanna will look to extend its best start since 1997 when the Crusaders host winless Juniata for Homecoming on Saturday afternoon beginning at 1:30 p.m.
