SELINSGROVE, Pa. - All community groups will be admitted free to Saturday's football game between host Susquehanna University and visiting Wilkes University at Nicholas A. Lopardo Stadium as part of United Way/Community Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
Both the Crusaders and Colonels bring 3-0 records into the Middle Atlantic Conference interleague matchup. Susquehanna defeated Dickinson 24-13 last Saturday afternoon while Wilkes knocked off Juniata 17-10 last weekend.
Community groups taking advantage of the special free admission are asked to wear something identifiable with their group, and sign in at the ticket window upon entering the game.
At halftime, the United Way of Central Susquehanna Valley will be recognized along with the community groups in attendance at the game. The United Way is in the midst of its 2000 campaign to raise $350,000 for 27 health and human service organizations in the community.
Admission for anyone not in a community group Saturday will be $4 for adults and $1 for students. Susquehanna University faculty, staff and students are admitted free with their identification cards.
Additional information on Community Day activities may be obtained by contacting the Susquehanna James W. Garrett Sports Complex at (570) 372-4119.
