More Honors For HernandezCrusader Halfback Selected to D3football.com Team of the WeekSELINSGROVE, Pa. - Susquehanna University halfback Isaac Hernandez has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week after his performance in Saturday's 16-14 victory at Lycoming. The 5-10, 180-pound junior earns his third honor of the week, after being named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Honor Roll and as the Gus Weber Crusader Player of the Week on Sunday. In addition, he is the fourth Crusader to be named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, joining teammates Antonio Nash, Frank Hanlon and Mark Bartosic. Also, the Crusader offensive line was selected for the national honor following Susquehanna's win over Dickinson on September 23. Hernandez (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area H.S.) carried the ball 25 times for 123 yards and two third-quarter touchdowns as the Crusaders rallied from a 14-3 halftime deficit to upset the 18th-ranked Warriors. Hernandez, who is ranked ninth in the MAC in rushing at 45.7 yards per game, scored on runs of 4 and 2 yards to spark the Crusaders' second-half rally. The 25 carries, 123 yards and two rushing touchdowns are all career highs for Hernandez, who broke the 100-yard mark for the first time in his career in the victory. Susquehanna (6-3 overall, 5-3 MAC, 1-3 Commonwealth League) will close the 2000 season on Saturday afternoon when they host Albright College at Lopardo Stadium beginning at 1 p.m.
