Three Ranked Among NCAA Football Stat Leaders

Bartosic, Bowman and Drayton All Part of Latest Rankings

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Three Susquehanna University football players appear in the latest NCAA Division III Football statistical rankings, through games of October 29.

Freshman split end Mark Bartosic, sophomore quarterback Mike Bowman and senior fullback Rashonn Drayton are each included in this week's NCAA report, released Wednesday.

In addition, the team is ranked 18th in passing offense at 268.8 yards per game, and 28th in total offense at 410.3 yards per contest.

Bartosic (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy H.S.) is 11th in Division III in scoring average at 11.3 points per game. In eight contests, Bartosic has caught 14 touchdown passes (tied for second in Division III) and scored once on the ground for a total of 90 points. In addition, Bartosic is ranked 13th in receiving yards per game (111.8), with 43 catches for 894 yards.

Bowman (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy H.S.) is 16th in the nation in total offense with an average of 257.5 yards per game. In 343 plays, Bowman has run and thrown for a total of 2,060 yards - the second-highest single-season total in Susquehanna history.

Drayton (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic H.S.) is tied for 12th in scoring average, as he has tallied 11 rushing touchdowns in six games for an average of 11.0 points per game.

The Crusaders (5-3 overall, 4-3 Middle Atlantic Conference) will look to snap a three-game losing streak when the team travels to Williamsport to battle Lycoming on Saturday, November 4 at 1 p.m.
