A Field Hockey Star!

CD Grad Crum All-North Atlantic Region Pick, Chosen for D-III All-Star Game

SELINSGROVE, (Pa.) — Susquehanna University senior center midfielder and co-captain Brandy Crum (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin H.S.) is a 1998 AstroTurf/ National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III North Atlantic Regional All-American, and has also been chosen to be a field player in the NFHCA Division III North/South Senior All-Star Game at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field on Saturday, November 21. The Division II/III game will be played at 1 p.m.

A returning second-team Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth League All-Star, Crum started all 16 games for the Crusaders this season and had six points on three assists. She was a key member on a defense which posted a 1.37 team goals-gainst average, helping the team finish 8-8 – 2-5 in the league. A four-year letterwinner, Crum played in 50 career games at Susquehanna and scored a goal with eight assists for 10 points. She is also a co-captain and returning starter for the women's lacrosse team, and was a past member of the women's basketball team.

"In many respects, Brandy has been the heart and soul of our team. She's a real competitor who's provided great leadership and will be sorely missed next season," said 23rd-year Susquehanna head coach Connie Harnum. "I'm so happy that she is being recognized as one of the top players in the nation, because we certainly believe she is."

Crum is a biology major and returning member of the MAC All-Academic Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse Teams. She is the daughter of Jean and Ed Crum, Jr., of Harrisburg.
