Jim Reed, Head Coach

Jim Reed completed his fourth season as the head coach of the Susquehanna University women's basketball team in 2008-09.
Reed was named the head women's basketball and head women's golf coach in August 2005 after serving as the head women's basketball coach at Wilkes University since July 2001.
Reed is no stranger to Susquehanna, having served as an assistant women's basketball coach under Mark Hribar for three seasons from 1989 to 1992 and as a men's basketball assistant under Frank Marcinek for two seasons from 1992 to 1994.
During his previous stint at Susquehanna, Reed also served as an assistant baseball coach from 1991 to 1994 and as the school's head women's tennis coach during the 1993-94 season.
After leaving Susquehanna, Reed served as an assistant men's basketball coach at the NCAA Division II University of Indianapolis during the 1994-95 season and as an assistant girls' basketball coach at Indian Valley High School (Pa.) for three seasons from 1995 to 1998.
In 1998, Reed returned to his alma mater in Division I Bucknell University as an assistant women's basketball coach and helped the Bison to a then school-record 20 victories during the 2000-01 season before moving on to Wilkes.
Reed graduated from Bucknell in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He worked as a structural engineer for four years before pursuing a career in coaching. He played one season of football as a defensive back at Bucknell and lettered twice in track & field.
He is a native of Reedsville, Pa., and is a 1980 graduate of the former Kishacoquillas (Pa.) High School and a 1981 graduate of Mercersburg Academy (Pa.).
Kelly Geise, Assistant Coach

Kelly Geise ended her fourth season as an assistant women's basketball coach at Susquehanna in 2008-09.
Geise graduated from Gettysburg College in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in business. She was a standout women's basketball player, helping Gettysburg to a second-place Centennial Conference finish and to the second round of the Division III championships during the 1994-95 season.
Geise was previously an assistant softball coach at Division III Rosemont College during the 1997 and 1998 seasons. She also served as an assistant women's basketball coach at Division III Ursinus College in 1998 and most recently at DIII Franklin & Marshall College, where she was both an assistant women's basketball and assistant softball coach from 1999 to 2002. During her time at Franklin & Marshall, she helped lead the basketball team to three Centennial playoffs appearances and a second-place ECAC tournament finish in 2002.
Geise served as an assistant coach with the Crusaders softball team from 2004 to 2008. The team qualified for the Middle Atlantic Commonwealth Conference playoffs in 2006.
She is currently employed as the Director of Managed Care for Evangelical Hospital in Lewisburg, Pa. |
