Brenda Brewer, Head Coach

Brenda Brewer will begin her second season as head coach at Susquehanna in the spring of 2008.
Brewer came to Susquehanna in the summer of 2006 after serving as head women's lacrosse coach at The University of Scranton for five seasons (2000-02, 2005-06), where she compiled a 50-31 record and led the Royals to the 2003 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) championship and an NCAA tournament berth.
During her years she guided Scranton to post-season play in 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2006 making appearances in both the MAC playoffs and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) tournament each of the years.
In addition to coaching lacrosse, Brewer will serve as Susquehanna's senior women's administrator, a title she held at Scranton since 1999.
She also coached the Scranton field hockey team for six seasons from 1998 to 2003 and compiled a 56-56 record, leading the Royals to a school-record 16 wins and an ECAC championship in 1998 along with three conference postseason appearances.
While at Scranton, Brewer twice received the MAC Coach of the Year award while coaching field hockey and lacrosse, in 1998 and 2000 respectively.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Bloomsburg in 1991, where she was a member of the field hockey team, and a master in business administration from Scranton in 1998. In addition to coaching, Brewer holds nine years of experience as an internal auditor.
Allison Fordyce, Assistant Coach

Allison Fordyce will begin her first season as an assistant coach for the Crusaders in 2008.
Fordyce comes to Susquehanna after serving as the head women's lacrosse coach at York College of Pennsylvania. Following the introduction of the program during the 2005-06 academic year, Fordyce compiled a 2-year record of 13-21 and coached two All-Capital Conference players.
In addition to coaching lacrosse at York, she also served as field hockey coach in 2005 leading the Spartans to a mark of 11-8 during which she had five players earn All-CAC accolades.
Prior to coaching at York, Fordyce served as both a field hockey and lacrosse coach at Harford Community College while also serving as the coordinator for athletics and wellness and as an adjunct physical education instructor over a span on six years, 1998-2004. In addition, Fordyce coached field hockey at the College of Notre Dame (2004-05) and spent three years as a personal trainer and fitness instructor at the Bel Air Athletic Club.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sport management from Towson University in 1998 and in 2005 received her master's degree of education from McDaniel College. |
