Susquehanna Field Hockey Season Wrap-Up
(Final Record 7-12, 1-5 conference)
SELINSGROVE, Pa.– The Susquehanna University field hockey team finished the season 7-12 and 1-5 in the Landmark Conference under second-year head coach Amy Cohen. The team held their opponents scoreless in six games in 2007, accumulating a total of 31 goals in winning efforts. In addition, three Crusaders claimed spots on the 2007 Landmark All-Conference team.
Sophomore forward Andrea Fiori (West Trenton, N.J./Lawrenceville) was selected to the All-Landmark First Team. Fiori played in all 19 games and led the team in goals with 14. The sophomore's most impressive performance came on September 12 when she tabbed a career-high five goals in the Crusaders' 9-0 shutout against Wells College.
Senior midfielder and co-captain Megan Sites (Loysville, Pa./West Perry) and junior defender Jenelle Anthony (Saylorsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) both earned All-Conference Second-Team honors. Anthony was second on the team in goals with nine. Sites played in all 19 games for the Crusaders and marked third on the team in goals with six.
Senior co-captain Lyndsay Meabon (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) was the primary goalie for the Crusaders and saw action in all 19 games, finishing the season with 156 saves and six shutouts.
