Jim Reed, Head Coach

Jim Reed enters his fourth season as the head coach of the Crusaders in 2008-09.
Reed was named as the head women's basketball and head women's golf coach in August 2005 after serving as the head women's basketball coach at Wilkes University since July 2001.
He is no stranger to Susquehanna University, having served as an assistant women's basketball coach under Mark Hribar for three seasons from 1989-90 to 1991-92 and as a men's basketball assistant under Frank Marcinek for two seasons from 1992-93 to 1993-94.
During his previous stint at Susquehanna, Reed also served as an assistant baseball coach from 1991 to 1994 and as the school's head women's tennis coach during the 1993-94 season.
After leaving Susquehanna, Reed was an assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Indianapolis during the 1994-95 season and was an assistant girl's basketball coach at Indian Valley High School for three seasons from 1995-96 to 1997-98.
In 1998, Reed returned to Bucknell as an assistant women's basketball coach and helped the Bison to a then-school-record 20 victories in the 2000-01 season before moving on to Wilkes.
Reed graduate from Bucknell University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He worked as an engineer for four years before pursuing a career in coaching. He played one season of football as a defensive back at Bucknell and lettered twice in track & field.
Reed is a native of Reedsville, Pa., and is a 1981 graduate of the former Kishacoquillas High School.
Kelly Geise, Assistant Coach
Kelly Geise is beginning her third year as an assistant women's basketball coach at Susquehanna University in 2007-08.
Geise graduated from Gettysburg College in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in business. She was a standout women's basketball player leading her team to a second place Centennial Conference finish and to the second round of the NCAA tournament during her senior year.
She previously was an assistant softball coach at Rosemont College during the 1997 and 1998 seasons. She has also served as assistant women's basketball coach at Ursinus College in 1998 and most recently at Franklin & Marshall College where she was the assistant women's basketball and assistant softball coach from 1999-2002. During her time at Franklin & Marshall College she helped lead the basketball team to three Centennial Conference playoff appearances and a second place ECAC tournament finish in 2002.
In 2008, Geise begins her sixth season as an assistant coach with the Crusader softball team, after helping the squad to the Commonwealth Conference playoffs in 2006.
Geise is currently employed by The Edmonds Group and resides in Milton.
Mandy Olley, Assistant Coach

Former Old Dominion captain Mandy Olley begins her second season as an assistant coach for the Crusaders in 2007-08.
Olley is a native of Lafayette Hill, Pa. and is a 2002 graduate of Old Dominion where she was helped the Lady Monarchs to four straight NCAA tournament appearances. Most recently, she spent three years as head varsity girls basketball coach at Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake, Va., where her team went 20-7 and won a conference championship in 2004-05.
Olley was a special education teacher in the Chesapeake Public Schools from 2002 to 2005 after graduating with a bachelor's degree in education with a minor in special education. She resides in Selinsgrove. |
