Hughes Chosen as Landmark Conference All-Star
MADISON, N.J. -- Three Susquehanna University basketball players have earned All-Landmark Conference honors the conference announced this week. Seniors Kevin Cuff (Pottsville, Pa./Nativity B.V.M.) and Josh Robinson (Mahwah, N.J./River Dell) were selected to the men's basketball first team, with Robinson being tagged as Player of the Year. Freshman Rachel Hughes (Gordon, Pa./North Schuylkill) earned second-team honors on the women's side.
Hughes led a balanced Crusaders attack with 195 points for the season (9.7 ppg). She was seventh in the conference in field goal percentage (46 percent) and ninth in free throw percentage (73.5 percent).
Twelve student-athletes were selected to the 2007-08 All-Landmark Conference women's basketball team by the conference's head coaches. The team consists of a first and second team, with six players on each, selections being made by position.
