Safety Susquehanna has implemented a new Short Message Service (SMS). The SMS is designed to notify subscribers to emergency situations via a text message on their cellular telephones. Subscribers also can choose to have alerts sent to them via e-mail. Class of 2011 The incoming class this fall is the largest in Susquehanna’s history with about 600 new students. Hollywood Renowned screenwriter Matthew Aldrich has purchased the rights to produce a screenplay of creative writing professor Tom Bailey’s first novel, The Grace That Keeps This World, published by Random House’s Crown Publishing Group. Basketball The women’s basketball team was recently recognized by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association for its academic successes. Besides qualifying for the conference playoffs, the team’s cumulative grade point average last year was 3.563, the fifth highest in the nation among N.C.A.A.’s Division III schools. The Mission Susquehanna University is a member of the Annapolis Group, an organization of the leading independent liberal arts colleges in the nation.
