The Accounting Club strives to educate, inform, and assist all students on campus who are interested in accounting. The group's main focus is on the accounting career; the club tries to teach those skills that accountants don’t get a chance to learn in the classroom. The club regularly holds meetings, arranges speakers, and distributes information in order to help members prepare for life after graduation, network with business professionals, learn about career opportunities, and ultimately make the most of their time here at Susquehanna. One of the most significant activities is the annual trip to the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Student Conference each fall.
"I decided to join Accounting Club, because it is a good way to get involved in the field of study that I was interested in. It is helpful to get to know other accounting major students, whether it's to get advise on classes, internships, or campus life in general. Joining the club also allows great networking opportunities with alumni and/or companies that you might be interested in working for outside of school."
