SU Chemical Society
The Susquehanna University Chemical Society provides educational field trips, lectures, presentations and tutoring to students studying chemistry. The organization also sponsors a number of social events, including movie nights and an annual bowling tournament, which is held with the Biology and Math clubs. The Chemical Society visits different locations every year to gain a better understanding of how chemistry is tied to the central Pennsylvania area. In the past, the organization has visited the Joseph Priestly House in nearby Northumberland, Pa., to learn about the chemist that discovered and harnessed oxygen.

Student Perspective:
“Being part of the SU Chemical Society is rewarding because I'm a member of an organization dedicated to furthering that which I love to do. We also provide tutoring in organic and general chemistry, and that is very rewarding – it’s a great feeling to help someone else. We are a fun group of people, and I would encourage anyone who is considering joining us to come to a meeting and check it out.”
