Ice Hockey Club

Crusader Hockey was founded seven years ago by students who have since graduated from Susquehanna. The team originally started playing in a non-contact men's league outside of Sunbury, Pa. for the surrounding areas. Currently, it is in its third year of competitive collegiate hockey. The team has competed under Division III club hockey in the Mid Atlantic Conference for the past two seasons. Recently accepted into the ACHA under the Mason Dixon Collegiate Hockey Association- a full contact inter collegiate league-the Crusaders have taken a step up in becoming a varsity sport at S.U. Gettysburg College, Wesley College and John's Hopkins University are some of the schools in which the team will play against.

Student Perspective:

"Over the past three years the Ice Hockey Club has evolved from an adult league squad into a competitive, collegiate hockey team.  We now have a coach and on-ice practices, and it is such an exciting time to be part of the team; we are expanding and taking on new challenges, broadening our horizons and striving to face off against better and better competition.  No matter what your skill level is, there is a place for you in the SU Hockey Club, and that's something I think is very important for a club that is looking to grow."
