The Diversity Council helps to strengthen the voice of multicultural students and multicultural student organizations of Susquehanna University. The Diversity Council assists the six groups it oversees in organizing their goals in a manner that will best help create and maintain cultural identity for all. It is also host to campus activities that promote diversity, such as Multicultural Day and a diversity training program.
"Diversity Council is a place where many students, from clubs representing diverse groups, meet in order to promote and support one another within their organizations and to the university at large. We are working to create a safer and more friendly environment for students, no matter their identity. We're a new organization, but we feel that the organization is headed in a great direction. We have had free s'mores, hot chocolate, and a barbecue for students as a way to de-stress and unwind. We're committed to improving and raising awareness about the diverse groups on campus, and we are always looking for people who are willing to help, inside and outside of the group!"
