ELCA Student Advocacy Team
Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) Student Advocacy Team encourages students to use their voices as voting constituents to advocate for the rights of people all over the world. The organization works to alleviate extreme poverty and hunger by writing to U.S. representatives and by supporting organizations such as Ten Thousand Villages, Church World Service, Equal Exchange and Bread for the World. ELCA Student Advocacy Team holds a few major events every semester, including the annual Fair Trade Festival in December and an Offering of Letters in the spring.

Student Perspective:
"The ELCA Advocacy Team works for structural changes and justice in society, rather than just giving money to a problem. As a member, you can participate in group efforts, such as the Fair Trade Festival or letter-writing campaigns, or you can work independently to further solve issues you are passionate about. It is great to be able to help people all over the world from our campus community."
