Colleges Against Cancer
Susquehanna’s chapter of Colleges Against Cancer promotes awareness, advocacy and prevention programs on campus, and raises money through American Cancer Society-approved fundraisers. The group is part of a national initiative of college students, faculty and staff dedicated to bringing American Cancer Society programs and services to college communities nationwide.
The organization holds numerous events throughout the school year and assists other organizations with their activities. The organization’s biggest event is Relay For Life, which is held during the spring semester. At the event, Colleges Against Cancer members educate the participants and visitors in various aspects of cancer prevention.
"Colleges Against Cancer is a nationally renowned organization. Through it, I have been welcomed in to a community of members from all walks of our Selinsgrove and Susquehanna community who want to fight cancer. It is incredibly empowering to be a part of an organization that can make such an impressive impact, both emotionally and financially, on people experiencing the various stages of fighting cancer."
