Colleges Against Cancer
Susquehanna’s chapter of Colleges Against Cancer promotes awareness, advocacy and prevention programs on campus, and raises money through American Cancer Society-approved fundraisers.
The group is part of a national initiative of college students, faculty and staff dedicated to bringing American Cancer Society programs and services to college communities nationwide. The organization holds numerous events throughout the school year and assists other organizations with their activities. The organization’s biggest event is Relay For Life, which is held during the spring semester. At the event, Colleges Against Cancer members educate the participants and visitors in various aspects of cancer prevention.

Student Perspective:
“The most rewarding part of being a member of Colleges Against Cancer is seeing other college students helping to make a difference. Many members of the organization have friends or family members who have been affected by cancer. I think all of us feel that a way that we can honor those who have been affected is by working to find a cure.”
