The Joel L. Cunningham Award Service Learning Faculty Member of the Year
Susquehanna University faculty make many contributions to the campus and the surrounding communities through service learning courses. This award, named for past University President Joel L. Cunningham, recognizes a faculty member who has made significant and unique contributions for the betterment of their community. All full-time members are eligible.
The Lynn H. Askew '57 Award Student Volunteer of the Year
Susquehanna University students make contributions to the campus and the surrounding communities every day. This award, named after alumna Lynn H. Askew '57, recognizes a student who has made significant and unique contributions for the betterment of their community through volunteering and community service. All full-time students are eligible.
The Dorothy M. Anderson '67 Award Outstanding Project House of the Year
The Project House System allows students who share a commitment for service to reside together in a residence hall suite. This award, named after alumna and former Dean of Students Dorothy M. Anderson '67, recognizes the standout project house for the year. Recognition may be based on consistent service to the local community, new or additional programs, an increase in numbers and overall commitment.
The Community Partner of the Year Award
Susquehanna University organizations often make contributions to the surrounding community via partnering with community agencies and non-profit organizations. This award honors a community partner that has made significant and meaningful efforts to engage SU students in service projects with their organization.
The Emily E. Bowling Award for Outstanding Student Career in Service
Over the course of their time at Susquehanna, many students devote countless hours of service to the campus and surrounding communities. This award recognizes a senior student(s) who have shown a remarkable dedication to service over his/her student career(s). This award has been named in honor of Emily E. Bowling ’06 for her continuous support of civic engagement at SU. All full-time students are eligible for this award.
The Outstanding Service by a Greek Organization Award
Susquehanna University sororities and fraternities make contributions to the campus and the surrounding communities daily. This award honors a Greek organization that has made significant and unique contributions for the betterment of SU and the local community through service.
The Most Improved Project House of the Year Award
With new students joining the campus community each year, new energies are directed to the university's clubs and organizations. The Project House that makes the most improvement in its programming and volunteer efforts is recognized with this award.
