Meet the Rabbi
Rabbi Kate Palley, director of Jewish life, conducts religious services, coordinates cultural celebrations, oversees Hillel and teaches academic courses within the Jewish studies minor and the university’s Central Curriculum.
Before coming to Susquehanna, Rabbi Palley was director of Jewish campus life for the Oberlin College Hillel in Oberlin, Ohio. She also served as a Legacy Heritage Fund Rabbinic Fellow at Congregation Shomrei Torah in Tallahassee, Fla. and a student rabbi at the Park Slope Jewish Center in Brooklyn, NY.
She received her rabbinical ordination in 2009 from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City, pursued post-graduate studies at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in writing seminars from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
