Variance is a yearly university publication that serves as a focused outlet of expression on diversity issues. Open to all Susquehanna University students, faculty, staff and alumni, this magazine aims to enhance the Susquehanna community’s understanding of diversity through the reading of personal reflections and experiences provided by those of a diverse background. Its purpose is to be an instrument for opinions to be heard and respected so that cultural biases may be erased and new perspectives introduced.
"I've been involved with Variance for the past three years and have found it to be a really valuable experience. Working with Variance has allowed me to get experience reading and copy-editing pieces. Being a part of a magazine that seeks to publish Susquehanna writers and craft a magazine that represents the overall diversity of campus life is definitely a rewarding experience."
