Improv Club

Improv ClubImprov Club is intended to create a fun way for students to express themselves outside of a classroom setting. The club focuses on "short-form" improvisational comedy similar to what is seen on the television show, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Students will first learn the basics of improvising a scene, then apply it through performance games, and eventually perform in an evening of improv comedy. Though performance in a show is not mandatory, students will be encouraged to fine-tune their creativity, concentration, and quick thinking skills.

Student Perspective

"I think a lot of people are skeptical about doing improv. A typical response is, 'I could never do that. I wouldn't be any good,' but I can almost guarantee that attending an SU Improv Club will have therapeutic results. Following each meeting, I wipe off tears of laughter heading back to my dorm. One of the best things about SU Improv is that all students (and faculty) are welcome regardless of experience."
