Hinton is the assistant director and coordinator of multicultural leadership development at the Center for Diversity and Social Justice. She is the founder of the Theresa Palmer Society and facilitator of the Diverse Matters Series, as well as the co-editor of the Persistence and Memory collection of essays on diversity at Susquehanna University. She has extensive experience in international, cultural and educational models using synergistic approaches.

Before coming to Susquehanna, Hinton was the cultural hub manager for the Borough of Telford and Wrekin, England, in Shropshire. Currently she is pursiuing her Ph.D. in Leadership at Antioch University.
