About my major:
First off, I am absolutely fascinated with people, how their minds work, and why they behave the way they do. Learning about psychology has allowed me to better understand the thought processes that go through people’s minds on a day-to-day basis. If I can better understand people, I will be able to help them more efficiently and effectively, and that is my ultimate goal. I also really enjoy listening to people and hearing about viewpoints and where they are coming from. Conversations about life’s big, and controversial, questions are my favorite. Because of all this, I felt that psychology would be a good fit for me.
Plans after graduation:
Ideally, after I graduate I’d like to attend graduate school. Where that will be is completely up in the air.
Favorite athletic memory so far:
I would have to go with the McDaniel game last season. Everyone was on that game and everyone had such a good attitude throughout the entirety of the game. Also, if memory serves me correctly, Sarah Wright made her 100th goal during that game, and it was really cool to see her achieve such a great accomplishment. It was a game where everyone worked hard and we attained results.
For a prospective student-athlete:
The advice that I would offer prospective student-athletes would be to just go for it. You won’t know if it’s the right fit for you unless you get to know the team, the coaches, and experience the whole training process. If you don’t take that first leap, you’ll never know what you could have accomplished.
