Why GO?
SU is committed to preparing students for success in a diverse and interconnected world. Cross-cultural immersion ensures each student can function effectively within the context of another culture, and gives students the opportunity to GO almost anywhere in the world.
What is GO?
GO is a part of the new central curriculum at SU that gets students out of Selinsgrove to experience a culture different from their own.
How to GO
To fulfill the GO requirement, students can:
- GO Long: A traditional semester study-abroad program
- GO Short: A short-term faculty/staff-led program (minimum 2 weeks)
- GO Serve: A service project in a cross-cultural setting
- GO Your Own Way: A self-designed experience proposed and accepted in advance
Where to GO
Students can GO abroad or GO somewhere within the United States, as long as the culural setting is different from their own. Students have the option of designing their own GO experience, subject to approval.
Going off-campus is a great way to expand horizons and learn about other cultures. SU offers so many places and programs, there is something for everyone.
