Gail Alwine '72 Woods has been appointed music department chair at Patapsco High and Center for the Arts, a magnet school for visual and performing arts in Baltimore County, Md.

Paul Hinsch '74 completed his ninth year in June 2006 on the L.I. Lutheran High School Association Board of Directors, serving as president for his last three years. His oldest daughter, Kathryn, is in the class of 2009 at SU. He is currently vice president of marketing for Henry Schein Inc.'s U.S. dental division, a Fortune 500 company.

Joseph Caporaso '75 is senior vice president, treasurer and chief risk officer at Crawford & Crawford Company based in Atlanta, Ga. Crawford & Crawford is a leading independent provider of claims management solutions to insurance companies and self-insured entities.

George Cashman George Cashman '75 was appointed president of CIT Rail Resources. He is responsible for the management of the company's railcar and locomotive portfolios.

Jane Wiedemann '78 Candela was named to the board of directors at Packer Engineering, Inc. in Naperville, Ill., where she is employed as the director of knowledge services. She lives in Palatin, Ill., with her husband Vince.

Donna Wissinger '78 was selected as August's spotlight artist on www.SouthernArtistry.org, and is one of over 500 Southern artists and groups profiled on the adjudicated, online registry. She has been hailed as a dynamic international star whose concerts include an acclaimed debut at Carnegie Hall and recital tours through Europe, the United States and Asia. Donna has appeared as artist-in-residence at colleges and has provided keynotes for conferences and institutes throughout the United States.

Greater Harrisburg Concert Band members
Ten Susquehannans are members of the Greater Harrisburg Concert Band, which performs a series of concerts each summer in the Harrisburg area. Phil Coleman '07, served as apprentice conductor in the summer 2006. James Ruitenberg James Ruitenberg '79 was elected president of the Passaic County Chapter of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants for a one-year term beginning June 1, 2006. James is a partner at Bederson & Company LLP in West Orange.
