Please send your alumni news and class updates Office of Alumni Relations 1990 Class Reporter: Kenneth Hugendubler '90, a partner in bmc's audit and accounting services group in the Harrisburg office, has been recognized as one of the Central Penn Business Journal's Forty Under 40. Born to Zoe and Judson K. La Londe '90, a son, Finaly Sven, Aug. 12, 2006. Judson is a vice president at Citigroup Corporate and Investment Bank in New York City. They live in Millburn, N.J. Philip Lucivero Jr. '90 was promoted to the rank of sergeant on Aug. 17, 2006, in the Mt. Olive Township, N.J. Police Department. He and his wife, Julia Verdesca '90 live in Randolph, N.J. William McNiff '90 married Mary Sullivan, Nov. 5, 2005, at St. Augustin Church in Newport, R.I. He is an implementation consultant with Eagle Investment Systems in Newton, Mass. They live in West Roxbury, Mass. James Todd Troxell '90 and Jennifer Sabo '97 announced their engagement and plan to marry within the next year. They live in the Selinsgrove area and were introduced to each other last fall by a common friend. Todd is a vice president with The Northumberland National Bank and Jennifer completed her master's degree in social work and is employed in that same field. Jennifer Miller '90 Sheckells works for Nemours, a foundation that runs pediatric hospitals, clinics and primary practices, as a compliance liaison in the office of corporate ethics and responsibility. Her office is located in Wilmington, Del. Born to Gigi Wainwright-Baker '90 and her husband, Jeff Baker, a son, Wyatt James, May 27, 2006. Gigi is the park operations manager at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. They live in Cary, N.C.
1991 Class Reporter: Born to Michelle and Brendan Flynn Jr. '91, a son, Hunter Kane, Aug. 19, 2005. They live in Neshanic Station, N.J. Born to Jon and Sandy Nichols '91 Howard, a son, Dillon Jack, March 17, 2005. He joins big brothers Ryan and Connor. They live in Columbus, N.J. Bill McCullough '91 produced a documentary, Eye of the Storm, that debuted on the Fox Sports Network. The film follows the story of the Louisiana State University football team and its struggles in the aftermath of Katrina.

They live in Gettysburg, Pa. Kay Capell '93 was promoted to the assistant director of food and beverage at The Mark Hotel in New York City, which is managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Born to Peter and Courtney Steele '93 Kaprelian, a daughter, Kira Nicole, June 28, 2006. She joins big brother Christian. Courtney is a senior account director for Healthstar Communications. Jessica Fisher '93 married Ronnie Goldstein, July 30, 2006, in a garden ceremony in Assonet, Mass. Emily Boylan '93 was a bridesmaid, and other SU alumni at the wedding were Jodilyn Tofts '93 Turner, Lisa Robinson '93 and Bob Hough '79. John Shave '93 is the vice president of investor relations and corporate communications at Safeguard Scientifics, Inc. in Wayne, Pa. Born to Benjamin and RuthE Spitzig '93 Potter, a daughter, Emma Grace, March 28, 2006. She joins big sister Anne. Ruth is a stay-at-home mom. Emma and Anne are the granddaughters of the late Neil H. Potter, professor of chemistry. Born to Bradley and Christine Nelis '93 Snyder, a son, Bennett Cole, April 28, 2006. He joins big sister Gillian. Christine is a system performance analyst for Cingular Wireless.
1994 Class Reporter: Heidi Peterson '94 received a certificate of advanced graduate studies in educational leadership from Simmons College in Boston, Mass. She is certified as a principal/assistant principal in Massachusetts. She teaches and coaches in Oxford. Born to Jennifer and Mike Rick '94, a son, Owen Francis, June 4, 2006. They live in Pittsburgh, Pa. Born to Chad Wozniak '94 and his wife, Cheryl White '96, a daughter, Laurel Grace, Aug. 18, 2006. Craig Dyer '95 was named the assistant coach for the Penn State men's volleyball program. Kurt Gustafson '95 is an external wholesaler and heading up the third-party financial advisory channel for Bradford & Marzec, Inc., a global fixed income management firm based in Los Angeles. Born to Darrell and Kristen Willix '95 Kaplan, a daughter, Erin Rose, June 8, 2004. Kristen is a form analyst for Chubb Group of Insurance in Whitehouse Station, N.J. The couple resides in Garwood, N.J. Born to Heather and Jeremy Lundgren '95, a son, Hudson Hamilton, May 9, 2006. Jeremy is an assistant principal in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District. They live in Charlotte, N.C. Pirjo Mace '95 is the head teller at Community Banks in Pillow, Pa. She also is a Music for Young Children instructor and church music director at Neidig UMC in Oberlin, Pa. She lives in Herndon, Pa. Born to Jen McGonigle '95 and Jeremy Ramont, a daughter, Matilda Claire, June 28, 2005. Jen is employed by Merck & Co. in West Point, Pa. They live in Norristown, Pa. 1996 Class Reporter: Born to Matthew '96 and Cherie Ainsley '98 Lenahan, a son, Luke Timothy, May 30, 2006. Luke joins big brother Jonah. Matthew is pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Akron. Cherie is enjoying time at home with her boys while on parenting leave from teaching. They live in Lititz, Pa. Jason Milner '96 finished a six-month assignment as an interim web coordinator with the Brookings Institution. He worked with their economic studies and global and economic development programs. He continues to be a box office manager at Woolly Mammoth Theater Company. Meg Johnson '96 Osman is the human resources and training manager at Kelly's Freeport Ltd. in the Bahamas . Blake Spiess, May 13, 2006, aboard a catamaran in Key West, Fla. Maggie Sheehy '97 and John '97 Zembruski were in the wedding party. Rebecca is a relationship manager at Vanguard Group in Valley Forge, Pa. They live in Ardmore, Pa. Tom Dempsey '97 is the head basketball coach at Rider University, Lawrenceville , N.J. John D. Fitzpatrick '97 married Kelly Burke, April 8, 2006, in Harrison, N.Y. Eric Conner '97 and Dylan Gallagher '97 were in the wedding party. John is the executive officer for the 206th Military Police Company, NYARNG in Schenectady, N.Y., as well as an OIC of security operations for Joint Task Force Empire Shield in New York state. Christina Knorr '97 married Corey Dunbar, July 29, 2006, in Wesley United Methodist Church in Bethlehem, Pa. She is a high-school English, speech, and drama teacher, as well as play director and drama club advisor. They live in Macungie, Pa. Born to Carolyn and Dave Llewellyn '97, a daughter, Elaine June, May 22, 2006. He is an organic farmer in Middleboro, Mass. Michael and Kristen Anderson '97 Mattera's son, Christopher, was baptized on July 16, 2006, by fellow Susquehanna graduate, the Rev. Amanda Sera '97 Warner, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield, Conn., where she is the associate pastor and the Matteras are members. Angela Stefanini '97 married Robert Salminen, July 20, 2006, at The Pridwin Hotel in Shelter Island, N.Y. Shay Myers '99 and Vivianna Calabria '97 were in the wedding party. Garth Bardsley '96 and Katie Ziegler '97 Curtis sang in the wedding. Angela is a music teacher with the Massapequa, N.Y., School District. They live in Amityville, N.Y. Born to Jennifer and Bill Sordoni '97, a daughter, Caroline Jennifer, June 1, 2006. They live in Shavertown, Pa. Christopher Surfield '97 is an assistant professor of economics at Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Mich. He received his Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina in 2003 and has been published in such journals as the Southern Economic Journal and the Journal of Labor Research. He focuses on the use of atypical or alternative employment on workers' compensation and employment outcomes. Matt Tacelosky '97 is the general campaign chairman of Schuylkill United Way. He lives in Llewellyn, Pa. Damian Wachter '97 passed the February 2006 Pennsylvania Bar Exam. He is currently the manager of external affairs for Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania and Maryland. Born to Lisa and Michael Walkiewicz '97, a daughter, Samantha Michelle, Aug. 10, 2006. Michael is a sales representative for Sepracor Pharmaceutical Company. They live in Bethlehem , Pa. Born to Amanda Sera '97 Warner , a daughter, Julia Frances. She joins big sister Abigail. Amanda serves as associate pastor at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield, Conn. Ryan Wayne '97 married Lynda Colligon on June 10, 2006, at Jericho National Golf Club in New Hope, Pa. Brent Wayne '99 was best man and Dave Vargison '87 was part of the wedding party. The wedding was attended by Kevin Spotts '97 and Doug Noble '00. 1998 Heather Newberger Dray Laura Rowles '98 Bone is a teacher and director of bands at Georgetown County School District , in Georgetown, S.C., where she and her husband, Gerald, and their daughter, Dorothy Tyler, live. Born to Shawn and Stacey Peterson '98 Dorman, a son, Noah Thomas, April 19, 2005. Stacey is a juvenile probation officer at Mifflin County Probation and Parole in Lewistown, Pa. They live in Beaver Springs, Pa. Born to Chris and Bekki Karess '98 George, a daughter, Jillian Taylor, June 25, 2006. They live in Allentown, Pa. Cherie Ainsley '98 Lenahan see 1996, a son. Brett Marcy '98 is a public relations account supervisor with Philadelphia-based Tierney Communications. Brett manages several clients in Tierney's Harrisburg, Pa., office. He lives in Harrisburg. Jennifer Mariano '98 married her high school sweetheart, Brian Ersalesi, May 6, 2006, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Rutherford, N.J. Rev. Matthew Lenahan '97 performed the ceremony and Andrea Riedel '98 Hutchins was a reader. Other Susquehanna alumni attendees were Ingrid Kloss '98, Christopher Hutchins '99 and Sherrie Bauer '98 Ainsley. Deirdre Newbold '98 is a service learning coordinator at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I. Gregory Ritter '98 see 1997, a son. Kim Sell '98 is a cancer control specialist at the American Cancer Society, Pennsylvania region, in Harrisburg, Pa. She is engaged to Andrew Hutnik with wedding plans for the fall of 2007. Born to Lucio and Wendy Wirfel '98 Ternieden, a son, Nathaniel Robert, July 19, 2006. Wendy earned her master's degree in counseling and human services from Indiana University in July 2006.
1999 Class Reporter: Todd Darlington '99 earned an MBA from Villanova University. He works for Verizon's external affairs organization where his primary responsibilities include bringing cable competition to Pennsylvania. Heidi Glatfelter '99 is a web development coordinator at Johns Hopkins University Center for Global Health. Mark Goodhart '99 is a manager at Blockbuster. He and his wife, Rebecca, live in Arlington, Va. Emily Goodling '99 Guldborg received her master's degree in resource conservation from the University of Montana. She and her husband, Kevin, live in Brockway, Mont. Born to Brendan and Jennifer Wolfgang '99 Hill, a daughter, Kendall, Jan. 24, 2005. Jennifer is a teacher at West Oak Lane Charter School in Philadelphia. They live in Ambler, Pa. Lori Jakielo '99 LaMay is a first-grade teacher at Glastonbury, Conn., Public Schools. She received her master of education degree in reading from Lesley University in 2004. She and her husband, Jason, live in Rocky Hill, Conn. Born to Merayah and Matthew Menold '99, a son, George Matthew, April 20, 2006. They live in Mullica Hill, N.J. Angie Moon '99 relocated from Williamsport, Pa., to Gainesville, Ga., to continue her career with Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. as a senior rater in the property production/personal underwriting department. Fawn Day '99 Rohrer received a master's degree in teaching and curriculum from Penn State University in May 2006. She is a fifth-grade teacher in the Cornwall-Lebanon School District and lives in Lebanon, Pa., with her husband, Geoff '99. Kathleen Veety '99 married Scott E.
