Larry Wingard '60, a member of the International Federation of Rotary Musicians (IFRM), attended Rotary International's June 2005 convention in Chicago. He took a string bass and an old sousaphone dating from 1943, and participated in a number of musical performances there. He has also been re-certified as a fundraising executive.

1961

Herman Hopple '61 was presented with the Bravissimo Award during the Cumberland Valley School of Music Gala in October 2005. He taught violin, viola, cello and bass in the elementary string instrument program of the Chambersburg Area School District from 1968 to 1998. He also taught string instruments and served as orchestra director in the district. When not making music, he enjoys sailing. His family includes his wife, Pamela, three children, two stepchildren and four grandchildren.

Peggy Walters '62 and Fred '64 Muller retired in June 2005 from Madison School District in Rexburg, Idaho, where Fred was a guidance counselor and Peggy was a special education assistant. Both had previously worked in several Berks and York County (Pa.) schools, and Fred also worked for Greyhound Lines. They are building a retirement home near Duchesne, Utah.

Ronda Bender '66 married Major General Forrest D. Tignor, Jr., April 9, 2005, at Derbyshire Baptist Church in Richmond, Va. Dena Jean Sebastian '66 Gentner attended their wedding. Ronda is a church organist and piano/organ teacher in her private studio. They live in Manakin Sabot, Va.
