1960 Class Reporter:
Class Reporter: 1963 Class Reporter: Robert W. Curtis '63 retired after 42 years with the federal government. Bob was the deputy assistant inspector general for audit with the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Inspector General. He and his wife, Betty, live in Fairfax Station, Va. 1964 Class Reporter: Gary Stone '64 retired in July 2007 from the Lehigh Valley Hospital Department of Psychiatry. Gary received his master's degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University and worked in the Lehigh Valley, Pa., area. During his career, he was the founding executive director of several organizations there, including the Valley Youth House for troubled youth and their families, and the Lehigh Valley Hospice. 1965 Class Reporter: Susan Duerr '65 married Glenn Dodson, Dec. 10, 2005. Susan has been retired for seven years. Joseph V. Vlcek '65 was recently awarded the Silver Beaver Award by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the highest honor an adult Scouter may receive through the local council. As a youth, Joe was also recognized as the top Scout in Maryland and one of the most decorated in the nation. 1966 Class Reporter: James Liddle '66 partnered with two other financial advisors to form Smith, Mayer & Liddle Wealth Advisory Group within Smith Barney's York, Pa., branch office location.
1968 Class Reporter: Ben Larzelere '68 is pastor of Christ Lutheran Church in Santa Fe, N.M. He and his wife, Beverly Steeley '69 Larzelere, have developed a friendship with Martin Schwab, rabbi of Temple Beth Shalom, Santa Fe, and his wife, Janet. The relationship between the two congregations and the two couples was demonstrated after the loss of the Larzeleres' son, Bart. The Schwabs made the temple's social hall available for a post-funeral reception. The Larzelere's 33rd wedding anniversary was observed at both church and synagogue. Bill Lewis '68 was the recipient of the 2007 Boston University Black Law Students Association (BLSA) Annual Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award at the group's annual dinner in March 2007. Bill graduated from BU Law School in 1972 and, after serving as an assistant district attorney in Philadelphia, has been an attorney with the federal government for 33 years. 1969 Class Reporter: W. Stevens Shipman Jr. '69 was called to be pastor of United Lutheran Church in Lock Haven, Pa., beginning Feb. 1, 2007.
